Achieving the goal of net zero carbon emissions by the middle of the 21st century will require colossal increases in the amount of electricity generated and sourced from renewable energy. Particularly in Southeast Asia, this would also require many countries to overhaul their existing energy systems to allow for and accommodate the growth in renewable energy systems as they decarbonize their power grids.
Levanta is committed to ensuring that our activities are aligned with those of our host countries as they embark on their journey towards achieving their net zero targets by supplying clean and renewable energy to the grid as we contribute towards the development of a decarbonized and more sustainable world.
As a renewable energy platform that seeks to provide a more sustainable energy solution for our world, environmental and local community considerations are of paramount importance in our activities.
We aim to mitigate the environmental impact of all of our activities, undertaking detailed Environmental and Social Impact Assessments for all of our project sites to ensure our projects do not impact areas of high biodiversity value or which are critical to the survival of any endangered species.
As we develop our projects, we will actively engage with our local communities through local representatives, ensuring that any concerns are adequately addressed and that the projects contribute to the development of the local economy. In doing so, we ensure that our work is done in a sustainable and ethical manner, providing sustainable power and benefits both to the country and the local communities in which we operate in.
