Due to business expansion, we are actively seeking an Associate Manager of Procurement to be based in Bangkok, Thailand to join our Operation & Maintenance team.

Roles & Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors. Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs while maintaining quality and reliability. Analyze supplier pricing, terms, and market trends
  • Take the lead in putting together EPC and O&M contracts for a project. This includes preparing the invitation to bid packages, coordinating site visits and pre-bid meetings, evaluating offers, procuring internal approvals for the selected bidder and signing the EPC and O&M contracts
  • Oversee inventory levels, ensuring that materials and equipment are available when needed and that excess inventory is minimized
  • Collaborate with quality control and project management teams to ensure that procured materials meet project specifications and quality standards
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including potential disruptions, changes in market conditions, and logistical challenges
  • Negotiate procurement contracts, service agreements, and terms and conditions to align with project goals and financial objectives
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, including environmental and ethical standards
  • Develop and manage procurement budgets, track expenses and provide regular financial reports
  • Promote supplier diversity initiatives and seek opportunities to engage with diverse suppliers and contractors

Ideal candidate should possess

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar procurement role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in the renewable energy industry
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relations skills
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and inventory control
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized
