Levanta Renewables is a renewable energy developer and independent power producer in Southeast Asia. We develop, build and deliver renewable energy solutions that work for each country in support of its transition to renewable energy, and do so in a sustainable manner while helping local communities. We are developing 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects in Southeast Asia through M&A and greenfield development of C&I and utility scale projects. 

Due to business expansion, we are actively seeking a Finance Manager, SEA to be based in Malaysia to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role reports to the Financial Controller.

Working closely with Levanta Group of finance team in Singapore, this role will assist with full spectrum of financial accounting, tax, statutory and other reporting for 2 to 4 of entities under Group entities: 

• Prepare monthly/quarterly Levanta Group consolidation accounts 
• Timely preparation of the monthly/quarterly reporting to Actis
• Timely preparation of monthly management account and budget tracker 
• Manage full set of accounting for 2 – 4 actives subsidiaries (include SEA)  
• Handle financial operations of purchase to pay, billing to cash, record to reporting 
• Treasury functions include reviewing of payments for approval as well we work with bank relationship manager in opening new accounts and approval matrix update 
• Review of tax filings and returns (e.g. withholding tax, SST/GST/VAT, annual tax returns etc) in Singapore and Malaysia as well as SEA 
• Monitor the project and entity operational cash flow 
• Ensure timely and accurately closing of finance and accounting activities monthly 
• Ensure inter-company and intra-group transactions are booked and reconciled timely 
• Ensure local regulatory statutory reporting is prepare and submit on time 
• Assisting in ERP implementation (ie, Microsoft – Business Dynamics 365) 
• Collaborate with accounting, tax and corporate secretary matters with relevant parties in SEA countries 
• Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and internal control policies to ensure compliance and operational efficiency 
• Assist with year-end audit 
• Support M&A and business team on finance related matters with SEA countries 
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments management may request from time to time

• Education and Experience required: 
  • Degree in accounting/finance or its equivalent professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA/ CPA) 
  • 8 -12 years of relevant working experience in multi-national companies 
  • Prior 3 years or more experience in a big 4 accounting firm is a strong plus 
  • Hands-on experience with day-to-day operation and good team player 
  • Familiar with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a strong plus 
  • Good knowledge of IFRS/local accounting requirements, tax rules and regulations is preferred 
  • Experience with energy industries is preferred

Travel Requirements:

• 20% travel within the SEA region is expected
