Levanta Renewables is a renewable energy developer and independent power producer in Southeast Asia. We are developing 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects in Southeast Asia through M&A and greenfield development of C&I and utility scale projects.

Due to business expansion, we are seeking a Legal Manager, PH. This role will be based in Manila, Philippines, and will report to the General Counsel in the Legal department.

• Handle all legal related matters throughout project development, including construction and operation
• Provide legal support for investment in, or acquisition of, renewable projects within Southeast Asia
• Lead all legal, contractual and compliance related matters in the Philippines
• Provide legal due diligence and review of related project and transaction documents (offtake agreements, EPC/construction, operation and maintenance contract as well as share purchase and joint venture agreements, etc.)
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts relating to the operation of the group
• Manage liaison with domestic lenders and provide legal support in liaising with international commercial lenders and ECAs
• Provide support on licensing and permit related issues
• Provide support on analysis of policy and regulatory matters
• Identify risk and compliance related issues and provide mitigation measures under the supervision of the General Counsel

• Law degree from a recognized university in the Philippines 
• At least 7 years of relevant working experience within the energy/infrastructure sector in the Philippines 
• Prior working experience on transactions in the Philippines renewable sector 
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in the English language and in Filipino 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• Right to work in the Philippines 
• Admission to a recognized bar is an advantage
