Due to business expansion, we are seeking a Project EPC Manager to be based in the Philippines, reporting to EPC Project Management Director in the Utility Scale department. 

Roles & Responsibilities

During the Development and Construction phase, the Project EPC Manager is responsible and accountable for the overall Development, Construction and Technical Workstream of the Renewable Energy (Wind or Solar) Project assigned to him/her with the aim to reach Final Investment Decision (FID) and COD as per the development and construction plans.  

  • General:  
    • Ensure all the approved Procedures (SOPs), Templates, reporting methodologies are strictly followed during the Development and Construction Phase of the Project 
    • Manage RFP Processes, including documentation, tendering and reviewing contracts with the support of cross functional teams 
    • Responsible for preparing the project schedule and ensuring the corresponding team members are aware of the milestones and timelines. 
    • Responsible for Status reporting, Management presentations and key reports related to the project 
    • Create and maintain project documents and reports in an easy to retract manner 
  • Development Phase:  
    • Coordinate with the Engineering team to manage site surveys and technical studies to be performed by Third Parties consultants and contractors 
    • Coordinate & provide technical support to the Business Development team 
    • Perform CAPEX/OPEX assessments, LCOE analysis and cash flow analysis to ensure budget compliance 
  • Execution Phase:  
    • Lead the site construction team to achieve the project targets on time with stipulated quality & safety standards and budget 
    • Act as a primary contact with the Project related stakeholders, including Contractors, cross functional teams, local communities and government agencies 
    • Providing technical and managerial support to the team 
    • Risk management and mitigation strategies 
    • Ensure smooth project handing over to O&M with all required information’s at the time of COD 

Ideal candidate should possess

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Large EPC Projects (Solar/Wind experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of using Project management tools
  • Knowledge of Government policies and procedures related to renewable energy is preferred 
  • Ability to multitask effectively and manage multiple contractors simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
