Due to business expansion, we are actively seeking a Project Manager – Commercial and Industrial Business to be based in Malaysia to join our C&I Business. This role reports to Co-Head of C&I Business.
The Project Manager (C&I) is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within the commercial and industrial sectors. This role involves managing all aspects of project delivery, from initial planning through to completion, ensuring projects meet client requirements, adhere to budgets, and are delivered on time.
1. Project Planning and Management:
- Develop and implement detailed project plans, including objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to define project scope and requirements.
- Ensure project plans are aligned with client expectations and organizational goals.
2. Budget and Financial Oversight:
- Create and manage project budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenses.
- Monitor project costs and financial performance, implementing cost-saving measures as needed.
- Approve and process invoices and payments related to project expenses.
3. Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Assemble and lead project teams, assigning tasks and responsibilities to ensure project milestones are met.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
- Provide guidance, support, and motivation to team members throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project
5. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all project work meets the required quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and reviews to identify and address any quality or compliance issues.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
- Monitor risk factors throughout the project and adapt plans as necessary to manage changes and uncertainties.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Provide regular status updates and detailed reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure all documentation complies with legal and organizational standards.
8. Project Delivery:
- Oversee the execution of project activities, ensuring they are completed according to the project plan.
- Manage project timelines, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Ensure successful project handover and closure, including finalizing documentation and obtaining client sign-off.
