Due to business expansion, we are seeking a PV Engineer to be based in the Philippines, reporting to Solar Design and Analysis Lead Engineer in the Utility department.

• PV design and Resource Assessment:
  • Selection of PV modules and invertors and BOS technologies appropriate for target project
  • PV Layout design, optimization and shading calculations.
  • Detailed energy yield assessment, project specific loss and uncertainty calculations
  • Electrical design for rooftop and ground mounted PV systems
  • Expertise in PV Syst, AutoCAD, Helioscope and Google Sketch up
  • SCADA data analysis and performance assessment of operational PV plants
  • Value analysis with PV/BESS/ hybrid systems (Wind PV BESS)
  • Setting up SOPs, enhancing the team’s expertise (AEP assessment tools, software), knowledge base
  • Liaison and coordination with consultants
  • Involvement in procedures, processes & checklist documents to establish standard work structure mechanism for the organization
  • Coordination of O&M activities
• Greenfield Development:
  • Develop the overall strategy for greenfield site development in coordination with management
  • Site Identification: Using the available databases and intel
  • Approvals: Coordination with project development team in origination and acquisition of licenses,
  • with developers and aggregators and due diligence of opportunities
  • Interaction with various consultants, nodal agencies and developers
• Technology Innovation:
  • Support and assist commercial team to technical evaluation of key components (PV modules, Inverters), sourcing of technology, techno-commercial analysis, risk assessment and policy & regulatory aspects.
  • Analyze and recommend innovative energy technology solutions including hybrid, energy storage and performance optimization
  • Close collaboration with Business Development, Project Development, Project Execution, Finance, and Engineering teams

• Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology in electrical, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in solar PV system design or a similar engineering role
• Proficiency in solar modeling and design tools
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, PV modules, inverters, and BOS components
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
