Senior Finance Manager

Levanta Renewables is a renewable energy developer and independent power producer in Southeast Asia. We develop, build and deliver renewable energy solutions that work for each country in support of its transition to renewable energy, and do so in a sustainable manner while helping local communities. With a shared goal towards helping Southeast Asia realise its energy transition and net zero targets, Levanta is backed by Actis, a leading sustainable infrastructure private equity firm. We are developing 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects in Southeast Asia through M&A and greenfield development of C&I and utility scale projects.

We are expanding in the Vietnam and are seeking a highly capable Senior Finance Manager to lead all country-level finance, accounting, tax, treasury, and reporting functions. This role reports to the Group Financial Controller – SEA.

Role & Responsibilities

Working closely with the regional finance team at Levanta Group’s headquarters in Singapore, as well as the management team, this role is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of financial accounting, tax, statutory reporting, and other finance-related functions for all Vietnam entities under the Levanta Group:

  • Lead full finance and accounting operations for all Vietnam entities, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and compliance with IFRS and local standards.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing, including intercompany reconciliation and timely submission of statutory and regulatory filings.
  • Prepare and review management accounts, statutory financial statement, accounting memo, budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow plans.
  • Lead the financial integration of newly acquired entities, including accounting setup, reporting alignment, and transfer of financial records.
  • Develop financial accounts & processes, manage budgeting exercise & controls, invoice review & payment processing for all Vietnam business entities.
  • Oversee treasury functions, including preparing payment, cash flow projection, and coordinate with bank relationship managers for project financing, account and banking setup and for Vietnam entities.
  • Hands-on ownership: Proven hands-on experience managing the full set of accounts for at least one sizeable or complex entity, with direct involvement beyond supervisory review.
  • Operational execution support: Willing and able to support team members at the operational level, stepping in to complete tasks and resolve issues to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Support the Group Finance Controller in preparing management reports for senior leadership and shareholders.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards and implement changes as necessary.
  • Prepare and review of tax filings (WHT, VAT, CIT, etc.) and work with advisors to ensure compliance and optimize tax efficiency.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors to optimize tax positions and minimize liabilities.
  • Ensure local statutory and regulatory reporting requirements are prepared and submitted accurately and on schedule.
  • Assist with ERP implementation (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and ensure financial processes are properly set up and adopted.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial providers to ensure smooth audit completion and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures to strengthen governance and operational efficiency.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance oversight to strengthen technical capabilities and operational excellence within the team.
  • Perform ad-hoc finance assignments and provide strategic support to management as needed.

Ideal candidate should possess:

  • Education and Experience required:
    • Degree or Master’s in accounting/finance or its equivalent professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA/ CPA).
    • At least 10 years of relevant working experience
    • Prior 3 or more experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is a strong plus.
    • Hands-on experience with day-to-day operation and good team player.
    • Proven experience in M&A support, acquisition integration, or project onboarding.
    • Hands-on experience with IFRS, VAS, taxation, treasury management, and financial controls.
    • Strong background in infrastructure, renewable energy, utilities, energy development, or project-based industries preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Ability to work independently and lead a team, with strong leadership capabilities to manage and guide the team in dynamic and fast-paced environment
    • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with advanced competency in managing stakeholder relationships
    • Proficiency in verbal and written English
    • Good time management skills, with a strong ability to estimate, plan, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
    • Adaptable, resilient, and proactive, with a commitment to delivering high-quality outputs within strict reporting timelines

Travel Requirements:

  • 10% travel within the SEA region is expected.
